Our focus: Internationalism and integration
When admitting students to the higher level secondary education preparatory course we make sure that there is as much diversity as possible with regard to nationality and native language. Our preparatory course, therefore, offers the ideal conditions for international students to learn both languages, German and English, as well as German culture and history in a welcoming and cooperative atmosphere.
Other basic cornerstones of the higher level secondary education preparatory course at Schloss Bieberstein include: our cooperative learning methods, individual support, application focus and our holistic learning method.
The language teaching method is tailored to the needs of the grammar school. Each participant of the preparatory year is also individually supported in German as a second language and English lessons by our qualified teachers. Besides teaching the curriculum content, the aim is also to develop and raise the students’ own profile in school and boarding school life.
Schloss Bieberstein does not only focus on the basic and intensive learning of the German language, but also on the application of the newly aquired knowledge to the lessons immediately proceeding. The lively, and primarily German-speaking, boarding school environment, characterised by the students’ multilingualism and the native language skills of the, usually, German teaching staff, offers the ideal basic conditions for sustainable language acquisition.
